Euphoria is a concept illustration, that takes place in a cyber punk era. Where matter can be deconstructed and reconstructed into different forms. And technology is embedded into the human anatomy.
A quick sketch of a princess, lost in thought.
Castle & Items Pixel Art
These are some of the assets for an untitled game that i’m currently working on. I created pretty much all the art for the game. From the tileset to the items and there respected animations.
Powder Cloud Effect
I haven't done many portraits recently. So i decided to make a type of Succubus. Trying to work on my skin blending and hair work, while making this piece. I do see an improvement from my earlier portrait work.
Went with a merfolk type underwater female creature. Making new type of species is always something that interests me, when it comes to concept work. Also i changed my coloring style a bit, using the color to build texture rather then detail.
Fiery Mithril Set
I decided to make a custom armor set for Valkyrie class in black desert online. I went with a blue and gold theme. Also instead of a lance, i created a lance sword hybrid. Giving the armor set a unique look to it.
Winter Steel is my final art project after a 10 week intense course of digital painting. I don't usually do compositions with more then one character. So this was a challenge for me. I also wanted to force myself to draw a mech like robot. You can also see the process i took to get to this final result.
It's been awhile since i working on with anime style. I decided to give it another go. I do enjoy this style of art, but i feel like i can work on my colors a bit more. To make a more interesting and compelling composition.
Life & Death
Here's another original concept piece. Playing around with the idea of a character living in two different realms (Living and Dead). Also playing with the idea of a doppelganger. I learnt to better colorize my skin half way through the piece. I'm starting to understand that you shouldn't see texture, skin, hair as one tone of color. With shades and highlights, but as a mixture of many colors.
This time i decided to do some original concept art. I played a lot on the idea of a mask covering the eyes also the goddess figure and how it should be portrayed. Ryssa is a goddess of wisdom. She uses her vast knowledge to teach humans, both the good and the evil of life. Letting them decided how to adapt and face each of these.
I always found magic the gathering to have some amazing art. So i decided to try it myself, just to see if I can make something close to that magic the gathering art standard. And of course i had to draw one of the most popular plainswalkers Liliana.
I decided to try something different for once. Warframe has some really nice details that you may not always noticed, will playing. Each of the frames has a unique theme to it and Saryn Prime was one of my favorites.
I really enjoyed making my last art piece, for Guild Wars 2. I really wanted to explore more of the Guild Wars rich lore. Kasmeer was one of the more prominent female characters that you meet during that game.
Yennefer's Bed Chambers
The inspiration for this piece came from the first book of Witcher: "The Last Wish". There's a scene in the book when Geralt meets Yennefer for the first time. Geralt finds a way to get into her home to ask for her help. To lift a spell from his friend Dandilion. Geralt walks in on her while Yennefer was sleeping. It was a very important scene and really adds more to the witcher origin story, of how the two first meet.
I recently found myself enjoying making concept for mythical creatures. I also have a love for guild wars 2, so i felt like creating something that's different and honors the game i love. Basically the silhouette is of Balthazar the god of war, and within him is the dragon that will probably see in the new expansion Kralkatorrik.
Self | Nature
This Project was part of VAV gallery for the Art + Other organisms exhibition.
Self/Nature is a critique of our contemporary relationship to nature. The installation will allow participants to experience audio visual feedback reflective of their self image and the duration of time they choose to commit to the experience. The objective is to promote thinking about one’s relationship to the future of the ecosystem, and to consider that the time we spend engaged with digital platforms and modern environments should be balanced with time to reflect on our existence between natural and digital environments. Self/Nature introduces a positive contemplation of our socio-ecological roles within the gallery space and furthermore will act as a catalyst in creating positive dialogue concerning the promotion of sustainable ideas within Concordia University.
This project is an interactive/immersive environment consisting of a grass covered platform and a ceiling mounted projection screen. Participants are invited to lay and observe projected animations of nature forming above them in the form of their own silhouette. The animation is responsive to the users position and movements, and the abundance of information/simulation corresponds directly to the time the viewer remains stationary and engaged with the installation. Accompany the emerging visuals will be an audio component emanating from within the platform that will enhance the sensorial experience.
The participant’s experience of Self/Nature will encourage consideration of the philosophical implications of digital culture and the the current cultural shift from the natural world to that of simulation.
My role in this projected was to create and animate the digital grass that would be projected on screen. Each grass strand was animated and rigged from stretch.
